Thankyou! I'm so glad you liked it. I wasn't sure about sharing the piece because I wasn't sure adding my voice into the cacophony is useful or warranted in any way. But after reading a number of posts on a similar topic, I thought I'd rather add something than say nothing. I have to acknowledge my own complicity there, and felt it worth a little extra rage poured into the "men need to do so much fucking better" side of the argument. It's something that really affects every woman, and the more poetry I read by female writers, it comes through so often. There's a similar issue of trauma coming through in contemporary queer poetry too. And I'm so often being very vocal about queer issues, so why should I be any less vocal about something that impacts literally everyone?
